Scalable Path is looking for a Full Stack Symfony/React Developer to join the team and work on a client project. This is a remote, full-time position.
The pay rate for this role is from $30 - $45 USD per hour, depending on experience and capability.
CLIENT COMPANY DESCRIPTION:The client has been around for 20 years and is still growing (about 70 employees now). They have software for helping churches get started and running smoothly (accounting, compliance, etc.).DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with a small team of developers to build and maintain a growing codebase encompassing many smaller projects. The client is looking for a candidate with the desire and skill to not only build, but help influence the direction of their projects. They are looking for someone who is flexible and skilled enough to do both server-side development and UI development. They use agile methods and meet daily as a team.The client is launching the next generation of their applications for churches.Some of the new products and features that you may be working on are:- Building a central authentication service- Building biblical counseling application- Rebuilding and improving the accounting applicationRELATIONSHIPS - WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH:You will be working with the VP of IT, Product Owner, Systems Architect and three other full-stack developers (1 in-house and 2 contractors). There is an existing daily meeting at 11:00am America/New York (-04:00) EDT.REQUIRED SKILLS:- Strong written and verbal communication in English- PHP (Symfony 2+)- SASS- React- Linux- MySQLDESIRED (NICE-TO-HAVE) SKILLS:- Ability and desire to grow into a leadership role (both managerially and architecturally)- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)- CI/CD- Kubernetes- Docker- Ansible- Redis- Vagrant- Next.js- Experience with API Platform (api-platform.com)START DATE:As soon as possible.EXPECTED CONTRACT DURATION:The project would likely be around 3-6 months. If a candidate is exceptionally good fit, the client would consider keeping them on the team long term.
