ABOUT THE ROLE
Ascent is looking for a highly motivated, results orientated WPF Developer. As a member of the Development Team, you will play an active role in the development of a new frontend application for an automotive recording and calibration embedded device.  This new application will providing real-time information on the system to assist test drivers during their routines on prototype vehicles,
This system will also: allow automotive engineers to change the system configuration from within the vehicle;  leverage an existing custom MVVM framework; and will get the data from the underlying Windows backend components.
Quality is of utmost importance and whilst there are a number of QA Engineers in the team, all the developers on the team are expected to have a good understanding of testing methodologies, and shall also contribute to code reviews, static analyser reports and documentation describing the details of their implementations including specific architectural areas. 
ABOUT YOU
Required skills and qualifications:
  • A minimum of  3 years C# development experience.
  • Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (XAML, MVVM)
  • Experience with Scrum
  • Experience with Git
  • Teamwork – work well within a team and within established boundaries
  • Can do approach – flexible and able to provide effective solutions
  • Communication - conveying information effectively and demonstrating active listening
  • Attention to detail - ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task
Other skills that are considered an asset for this role:
  • Knowledge of .Net Interoperability
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Component Object Model
  • Knowledge of the Windows OS architecture
  • Knowledge of Linux OS programming
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Bash scripting
