Position Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer, DevOps at Wisely, you will architect, build and maintain a scalable multi-stage CI system. You will help get all development teams safely and quickly into our production environments.
Who you are:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and integration
- Experience with Kubernetes, container, and other microservice technologies
- Experience with AWS technology including EC2, EKS, or similar
- Experience with implementing successful branching and release strategies
- Passion in helping other engineers be more productive
- Competency and passion in systems and software
- Ability to dive deep into different system architectures
- Skill-set, including coding, systems design, architecture, integration, and overall understanding of scale and developer productivity
- Empathetic and concerned for team and individual outcomes
- Experience working remotely
- Familiar with small teams, or ready to transition to a smaller, faster-moving company
- Lover of food and restaurants
What you'll do:
- Manage build, release, continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD) processes for software product releases
- Work with developers and stakeholders to achieve quality software through the build and deployment system
- Improve our software development processes
- Hands-on designing, coding, configuring, debugging, and monitoring
- Support and improve our tools for continuous integration, automated testing, automation and release management making the entirety of software engineering as efficient and effective as possible
- Define and implement appropriate automation of operational activities
- Improve the replicability of build and test runs using central OS configuration management, virtualization and containerization
- Contribute to building a strong team of Build Infrastructure Engineers/ Continuous Integration Engineers
- Unify our development pipeline, build process, testing and deployment strategies across diverse teams.
