Software Engineer - Server (APAC)

Requirements:
- This position is based in the Asia Pacific region. Remote candidates in the APAC region will be considered.
- Fluency in Clojure, Scala or Java is required. Substantial experience developing async web services and socket servers for high transaction environments.
- Strong grasp of command line UNIX/Linux, including shell scripting
- Previous exposure to C or C++ programming
- Substantial experience with AWS services, including Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, RDS
- Experience working with Continuous Integration tools/services
- Completely comfortable speaking and writing in English on a day-to-day basis.
- Patience and strong communication skills
Not mandatory, but nice to have:
- Active in the open source community
- Consulting or other services experience
- Erlang, Elixir, Golang
- Exposure to any of the following: Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis
- Prior experience working on a distributed team
