What you'll be doing
As a Senior Frontend Engineer you will be working as part of a highly-skilled and motivated team, building high-quality user interfaces using the latest browsers (no Internet Explorer) and technologies. You will deliver complex front-end features as part of our agile development process, and be responsible for making robust technical decisions and maintaining a high level of code quality. You will also be working closely with product and design to make sure we are always delivering the optimal experience to our customers.
Our frontend stack is based around React, TypeScript, and Redux and in addition to our web-based user interface we also have a Chrome extension. We have a shared component library which you will be contributing to, building everything from accessible form elements to beautiful data visualizations.
Required skills/experience
- Highly effective team member able to mentor others and raise the performance of the whole team.
- Fluent in modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Previous experience with React or a similar frontend framework.
- An eye for quality and an advocate for testing best practices.
- A focus on the user with the ability to feed into and guide the product design process.
- Passionate about finding simple solutions to complex problems.
Beneficial skills/experience
- We are using TypeScript so any previous experience would be beneficial but a willingness to learn is sufficient.
- There are occasionally opportunities to work on different parts of the stack so any backend experience or interest in that area would be welcome but is not essential.

Location
Arachnys is a remote-first organisation, meaning that we work remotely but come together for collaborative on-sites and socials a handful of times a year (once it's safe to do so). We have found that candidates within 1-2 time zones of the UK work best with our current working practices. We provide all the technology and equipment our team needs to work productively remotely as well as all travel costs if we do ask them to come to a London onsite.
