Givelify is actively looking for a Senior iOS Software Engineer to join our Giving development team. We are looking for self-driven individuals who want to be part of the direction of our product, who take pride in their work and are not afraid of getting their hands dirty with all parts of our product. The iOS Software Engineer will work with a cross-functional team to build industry-leading solutions & technologies that bring beautiful giving experiences to life while maintaining a high standard of engineering quality.
Some of the meaningful work you will perform:
- Building clean, scalable, iOS application.
- Designing, implementing and maintaining existing and new applications.
- Improve the performance, stability and overall quality of user experience on mobile devices.
- Partner with UX and design team and bring beautiful giving experiences to life.
- Partner with other software engineers and create rapid prototypes.
- Having fun building high quality code.
We welcome your experience and talents:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics (STEM)
- 5+ years of software development experience working on iOS applications
- 3+ years on Swift, or know the languages really well that you will be able to switch from Objective-C
- An ability to demonstrate superior understanding of software development fundamentals
- Experience with converting visual designs and using prototyping tools, such as InVision or Figma
- Mastered Git
- Knowledge and experience fine tuning user experiences for iOS devices and its market.
Some WOW factors you could bring:
- Experience design and implement APIs for modern mobile applications
- Experience developing application using device sensor SDKs and libraries
- Experience with TDD or BDD
- Familiarity with CD/CI tools, such as Jenkins and Docker
- Experience and knowledge of PHP, Python or similar programming language
- Familiarity with industry UX best practices and material design guidelines for mobile devices.
Ideally:
- Organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated, able to work effectively in a dynamic and distributed team environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Experience with unit testing and continuous integration platforms
- Experience with social media integrations
- Experience in delivering mapping, geofencing, and other location-based features
- Understanding of server-side software and experience building scalable, distributed systems
- Understanding of databases, data access architecture and memory management
- Solid knowledge of Objective-C and Swift
- Experience with unit testing and continuous integration platforms
- Experience with social media channel integrations
- Experience in delivering mapping, geolocation, and other location-intelligent features
- Understanding of server-side software and experience building scalable, distributed systems
- Understanding of databases, data access architecture and memory management
