What we do
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works worldwide to provide humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence. We take action in response to emergencies and at the same time promote respect for international humanitarian law. We are an independent and neutral organization, and our mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. We work closely with National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and with their International Federation in order to ensure a concerted, rational and rapid humanitarian response to the needs of the victims of armed conflict or any other situation of internal violence. We direct and coordinate the international activities conducted in these situations.
Purpose of the position
The ICRC IT division provides technology services to 20,000 employees globally, external partners and to the public. We run a broad range of enterprise tools, business-specific tools and tools directly designed for beneficiaries.
In order to ramp-up the Collaborative Work Management team, we are looking for a Collaboration Platform Owner.
As Collaboration Platform Owner, you will provide domain expertise, owning platform delivery from early concept to market and subsequent optimization. As Platform Owner, you will direct Platform Technical specialists, ensuring business fit and non-functional elements of platform implementation are effective.
As Platform Owner, you will also be responsible for crafting roadmaps and continual improvement plans for the platform.

Main duties and responsibilities
Provide leadership and guidance to delivery and business teams to ensure agreed availability, supportability and operational capability for all platform applications; Work collaboratively with business and operational teams to lead prioritization of changes and lead defect backlog prioritization; Maintain an understanding of the existing and potential platform capabilities; Act as a point of escalation for Platform related defects and major Incidents; Review and approve estimation and impact assessment activities to support capacity and capability planning as well as key system documentation.
Relationships
Collaborates with the Collaboration Work Management Sector; Inside the ICRC, interacts strongly with staff in all ICT units, and all customers that have an application in the platform; CIM_APP Solution Architects; Externally, interacts with ICT suppliers and service providers and staff of any public or private sector organization as relevant.
Education and experience required
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Tech; More than 8 years as Technical Consultant/Architect or an equivalent position in SharePoint environments included SharePoint 2013 / SharePoint 2016 / SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Online; Implementation of SharePoint Governance an asset; Experience in Microsoft 365 implementation (Teams, Power Platform); Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server Always-On and System Center Operations Manager; Good knowledge of PowerShell (Version 4 & 5); Good knowledge of Active Directory; Good knowledge of Backup and restore strategies with SharePoint; Proven Experience with federated Identity mechanisms like ADFS v3 and Azure AD; Experience with authentication protocols (NTLM, Kerberos, SAML); Experience with Reverse Proxy for SharePoint (ideally F5 BigIP); Experience with virtual architectures with VMware.
