About the role
This is a contract, part-time, remote position. The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day activities of the business, ensuring that the organization is well managed and performing efficiently and effectively. While this is a director level role, we’re still a small business and are looking for someone who can be strategic and dig their hands in when necessary. 
Responsibilities
  • Liaise with business owners to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
  • Manage relationships with team members including affiliate manager, community manager, assistants, sales (eventually), etc. 
  • Regularly report on business performance
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency and efficacy of business operations, procedures and systems
  • Strategize with business owners and revenue teams to increase revenue
  • Oversee customer support processes and make improvements to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Own and drive team meetings including agendas and action items
  • Own project management, ensuring projects are organized and completed on time
  • Plan and manage all course launches
  • Strategize launch dates with owners
  • Coordinate with team as needed to complete launches
  • Establish structures and systems where needed in the business
  • Establish and manage roadmaps for each area of the business: editorial is a high priority at the beginning
Requirements
  • Proven experience as Director of Operations or similar position
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities 
  • Experience managing teams of five or more
  • Experience leading and managing in a remote environment
  • Knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (marketing, customer services, sales, management, etc.)
  • Experience with data analysis and performance metrics 
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience exploring, defining and strategizing, then executing on a project
  • Experience with following tools: Asana, Google Drive, Slack
  • Ideal experience with: ActiveCampaign, ClickFunnels, PipeDrive, ThriveCart, Woopra, WordPress Zapier
