Head of Product - Fully remote from GMT-4 to GMT +4

Omnipresent

Why?

With so many companies transitioning to remote work, what we offer is more relevant than ever, and we are growing fast. Be part of amazing growth with an amazing Product team.

What?

We are looking for amazing Heads of Product to lead the company in its growth and mission. Our Heads of Product lead large portions of the business, driving tangible business objectives. They don't just lead engineers and design, they create cross-functional teams including all aspects of the business to tackle the most difficult problems for our customers. The Heads of Product will have PMs reporting to them, and will be responsible for product delivery across those sections of the business.
There are three open Heads of Product Positions:
  • Head of Product, Compensation. This area oversees all things payroll & benefits, including payments and banking APIs, APIs with clients and partners, and of course operations of our pivotal payroll and benefits functions.
  • Head of Product, Platform. This area supports the other teams, driving a consistent experience in both tech and UX, architecting how data drives our company, security, business intelligence and non-client-facing 3rd party integrations. This team will also be where the company's product design system is created and implemented.
  • Head of Product, Client Experience. This area will create the new client-facing unified experience that brings together messaging, billing, insights & reporting, integrations with client systems, client reports and document storage.
Please specify which position you are applying for in the application.
Product at Omnipresent creates empowered product teams. For more information on this management philosophy, see https://svpg.com/empowered-product-teams/
We are a non-hierarchical company; you are going to get exposure to all aspects of our business immediately. You'll get as much accountability as you can handle and have a huge influence on scaling the company.
Omnipresent makes remote teams work, and in turn we are globally remote. Your team can and should be located throughout the globe, which is an exciting opportunity to build a diverse powerful team making a global impact.

Who?

You are a strong leader and builder, have incredible drive and are naturally curious. You are especially good at detangling complex business goals and creating a team to achieve those goals. You take initiative, communicate well to drive your teams, drive projects independently, and report up clearly to the company executives.
This role reports to the VP of Product.

About Omnipresent

Remote work is one of the great equalisers of our time, allowing people to secure employment opportunities from companies around the world, no matter where they were born or where they live.
Yet, at a time when remote work is exploding, most companies are finding it too complex, costly and time consuming to employ workers internationally. At Omnipresent, we're cutting this complexity and providing our clients, and their remote workers, with a simplified, cost effective and legally compliant employment experience. With a network of legal entities across the world, coupled with an automation-focused tech platform, we're building the premier global employment-as-a-service offering on the market.

Your responsibilities

  • Ownership of KPIs and product-driven vision for a key portion of Omnipresent's business.
  • Be a Product leader in the company, working with other senior leaders to help set company goals and strategy. Mentor and coach not only your PMs, but across the function. Lead the creation of an empowered, involved, informed and inspired culture for your teams and, leveraging the PM team you help to shape, drive clarity throughout the company.
  • Lead and mentor teams to discover user needs, understand and define the product's market positioning, define and refine team KPIs and objectives, understand tech tradeoffs, and create a roadmap that balances users, tech and business needs.
  • Lead your empowered product development team(s) to execute against that roadmap to deliver substantial timely value against those KPIs and objectives.
  • Build a strong understanding of the users and market for your product, from competitive analysis to user segmentation, craft a vision for execution, and drive this clarity through the business.
  • Be a strong advocate for user needs across all functional areas, and help maintain the proper intersection of user needs with implementation and business needs.
  • Manage the product objectives, key results and roadmap for your assigned business area; ensure these dovetail into the company commercial strategy
  • Work directly with execs, stakeholders across the business, directly manage the output of sub-teams, and of course work very closely with development teams.
  • Use data to shape your narratives and prioritisation, and to drive understanding through the business using clear communication techniques.

What you need to be great at

  • Leadership of Product Managers, driving a Product philosophy through the company, and being a proactive part of the Product leadership team.
  • Ability to create, sell and curate a product strategy for your part of the company.
  • Tolerance and even enthusiasm for ambiguity, and a bias to action that creates a data-driven path forward despite an unclear path.
  • Personal stature, gravitas, a relationship builder, and excellent communication skills.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with leaders throughout the company.
  • Excellent critical judgment; able to make good decisions, be trusted, respected and dependable, be proactive and responsive, ask the right questions, raise flags at the right time, able to prioritise and plan workloads for the team.
  • Analytical thinking capability; logical, systematic, strategic and pragmatic, at a company-wide scope.
  • Deftly wielding multiple agile practices through software lifecycles. Educating the wider business teams on the development process.

  • Experienced in fostering the customer experience, end to end journey, UX and UI.
  • Delivered complex projects with agile development teams, with a firm personal belief in ship, learn & iterate.
  • Specific to Head of Product, Compensation:
