As the Operations Manager for LearnCube, this fully remote role will be responsible for leading support, operations and HR at LearnCube. LearnCube is award-winning virtual classroom software for tutoring & language education. Our mission is to transform live online education.
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, clever, check-list loving individual who would feel proud to help improve online education across the globe. Not only will you be working with a pretty cool team of people, but you’ll also be on our leadership team and have a critical role in steering the future of the company.
A few important things to note straight away about LearnCube: 
  • We started as a “remote-first” company 7 years ago out of London in 2014.
  • We are a small-to-medium sized SaaS company representing over a dozen countries.
  • We are transitioning to a four-day workweek to attract & retain the best people.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Lead HR & Operations - by improving team day-to-day (4DWW, birthdays, employees).
  • Support Customers - by leading the support team (being a backup when needed) and becoming an expert on LearnCube products.
  • Create & optimise systems - by identifying problems and bottlenecks, and finding smart ways to do things better.
  • Manage operations - ensure that LearnCube processes and systems are relevant and well used by the team.
  • Manage Online School Pipeline - from setting up Online Schools, overseeing onboarding and optimising for customers.
  • Document Processes - writing and organising clear documentation using Google Drive & our wiki.
  • Manage Billing & Subscriptions - keeping subscriptions up-to-date and ensuring invoices are paid on time.
Required Skills/Experience (non-negotiable):
  • Highly organised and love creating systems
  • Very detailed-oriented & efficient
  • Excellent communicator and completely fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Ability (or willingness to learn) how to lead Operations at a fast-growing SaaS company
  • Shows initiative and doesn’t shy from taking on responsibility and projects
  • Ability to adapt and grow (startup life isn’t a straight line)
  • Some experience with creating systems
  • 2+ years of working remotely
  • 2+ years of customer support experience
  • 2+ years of operations experience (sorry this is not a graduate role and requires some experience in a SaaS company)
  • Live in Central European or UK hours (i.e. CET + or - 1 hour).
Nice-to-have Skills/Experience:
  • Some experience with academic (online) tutoring, teaching, education, technology would be useful
  • Second language would be a bonus (Mandarin, German, Arabic, Spanish & French are all especially helpful)
  • Some experience collaborating and coordinating with development and product teams
  • Ability to adapt and grow (startup life isn’t a straight line).
