UI/UX Designer for Web

Do you care about designing applications that are both beautiful and functional?
At Niphtio, we're looking for a UI/UX designer to join us in building the next-generation of content aggregation and curation tools.
You will be one of our first hires, and will be working closely with our small team of software developers as well as our founder/CEO. You'll have plenty of autonomy and real opportunities to grow and build your skills here.
Your role will be to design the various user interfaces of our applications (primarily web, possibly also iOS and Android). Responsibilities will include:
- Advocating for user experience and working with the rest of our team to define requirements for product features.
- Producing concept specifications, wireframes and flow diagrams in order to communicate design ideas with the rest of the team.
- Soliciting feedback on your designs from other team members and articulating the reasons for your design decisions.
- Creating UI mock-ups in production-quality responsive HTML and CSS.
- Measuring and assessing usability of deployed features.
Basic experience with using git is a plus, but we care more about your ability to learn new things and your passion for excellence in our craft than preexisting knowledge in any specific technology. You will have a direct influence on setting the direction of our products as well as shaping our company culture from the ground up.
We are a 100% remote team. (USA and Canada only -- we are not able to sponsor or transfer visas for this position.)
