Account Executive
Long-term Contract / 5 days per week
Are you highly motivated and purpose-driven, with a natural flair for sales and marketing? If so, we would love to hear from you! We’re looking for a superstar salesperson based in the UK to work with us on our outreach to schools and educational organisations - someone who is a quick learner, extremely organised and passionate about making an impact.
This will be an initial 3 month contract, with a view towards joining our company as a full-time employee.
Our mission
We are on a mission to change the world for young girls who believe that learning to code is more for boys, to pave a way for greater inclusion and representation of talented women in the workplace. We’re doing this by encouraging girls to learn real digital skills via Erase All Kittens, a multi-award-winning game which incorporates storytelling, interactive dialogue and fun ‘Mario-style’ gameplay.
Our game has over 170,000 players, 55% are girls (compared with an estimated 18% for other coding tools) and 95% of all players want to learn more about coding after playing. We are supported by MIT and Google for Startups, and we were recently featured as one of the top coding games in WIRED, Mashable and Forbes.
By 2026, we are aiming for EAK to be in 50,000 schools and to see a significant increase in girls taking Computer Science GCSE and A-levels in the UK.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, and will be able to use results to inform decisions in an organised way, combining this with creativity to achieve strong results.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead our B2B sales strategy in the education sector, making sales in the UK and abroad using email, phone and social media channels
  • Lead the implementation of our account management strategy from the onboarding stage through to renewal of accounts
  • Set KPIs for all sales-related activities
  • Be the primary point of contact for all customer queries, across all channels
  • Be responsible for the admin of the CRM database and be diligent in accordance with GDPR
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of our marketing strategy
  • Assist in forming partnerships to drive B2B revenue growth
  • Assist in product development, through organising product beta-testing and sharing findings with the game development team
Experience
  • At least 1 year of sales experience
  • Preferably experience of working in a startup environment
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will be:
  • Familiar with using Google Sheets
  • An excellent communicator - customer-facing and internally, presenting ideas and feedback clearly and logically
  • Extremely organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated and able to adapt to changes, to ensure tasks are completed
  • Positive and personable with a natural flair for sales and marketing
Overall, success will be measured on your ability to bring in consistent revenue through selling to schools and assisting with B2B partnerships.
This role reports to the founder and CEO. You will be working remotely - being contactable during working hours (9am-5.30pm) through the use of Slack and Google Meet. We're open to flexible hours if required.
We are a small team working remotely and from Huckletree Soho, a co-working space in London with a great culture and regular events.
