This job posting is for someone who is located in the United States and can work between 20-25 hours per week with the desire to move to full-time as business ramps up.
The accounting manager reports to the Technical Director and will be responsible for managing our accounting procedures. You should have experience using ERP software to manage a company’s finances, ideally Sage Intacct. You’ll share your knowledge of accounting practices and regulations with the rest of the team to ensure the company’s overall success.
Responsibilities include:
  • Manage and oversee transactions and how they are recorded on the financials
  • Review and analyze accounts receivables
  • Review and analyze accounts payables
  • Use appropriate accounting methods/principles to prepare monthly financial statements
  • Assist with the annual budget
  • Review and analyze cash balances
  • Maintain and update policies and procedures as they relate to all financial related transactions
  • Process Gusto payroll and International Contractors payroll
  • Assist subsidiaries in Canada and Australia with monthly payroll needs
  • Be comfortable and familiar with online business banking
  • Process vendor payments
  • Review and analyze all Sage imports monthly to ensure that all transactions are being captured (Stripe, Payroll Providers, Citibank)
  • Manage and hire accounting staff
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • At least 3 years of comparable experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Strong analytical / problem solving skills
  • Intermediate to Advance Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to manage concurrent responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently on complex projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational and multitasking skills
  • Experience in software industry (preferred)
About You
We sell hosting services to customers throughout the world, so having experience with internet-based business would be ideal
You work well independently and remotely. You should be comfortable managing your own time and prioritising your own work. We have no central physical office, we are 100% remote.
