Business Development Manager (Live Music & Events)

Tixel is a fast-growing fan-to-fan ticket marketplace, sitting at the intersection of music, cultural events and technology. We are founded on flexibility and transparency, making a huge amount of positive impact on the live music and events industry.
This role will be instrumental in driving success across UK and Europe. You will help us cultivate long-term relationships with event organisers, ticketing companies, venues, and artists, playing a critical role in setting the foundations in the region.
What you'll do;
  • Develop and implement sales strategy in UK and Europe, helping to build the sales function from the ground up
  • Identify, pitch, negotiate & close partnerships with the best venues, promoters, artists, ticketing companies and event organisers across Europe and UK.
  • Educate your existing network of live industry contacts on Tixel
  • Maintain and grow a pipeline of leads, making regular calls, meetings & check-ins
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to deliver the best partner experience possible.
  • Gather and communicate partner needs & feedback to the Product and Marketing teams to help with feature prioritisation, B2B Marketing Materials
Skills and experience;
  • Preferred 4+ years in a business development role for a Technology or Live Events company. If you don’t meet this criterion to a tee, but still think you’d be a great fit,  feel free to apply anyway and tell us why you’re the right person for the job
  • Impressive pitching & presentation skills -- you should be comfortable making a deck, product demonstrations and confidently presenting to a room full of strangers
  • Courage and confidence to challenge the status quo. Anticipates problems and mitigates risk.
  • You take rejection as a personal challenge to succeed with the next customer and are never complacent.
  • From email tone and delivering effective meetings to prompt follow-ups and clear opportunity mapping, you pride yourself in the speed and efficiency of your comms.
