We're looking for a part-time Junior Designer to join our fully remote team!

We're an entirely remote team spread across 7 countries and 20 cities. The company is on a journey of creating an eCommerce platform built around nurturing customer relationships through marketing automation solutions.
We're looking for a part-time designer to join us in creating world-class experiences for our Shopify eCommerce applications.
This position is 100% remote. You'll have the freedom to work where you're the happiest and be a part of a team that cares about your success and well-being.
About the job
This is a brand new role that will evolve over time. As our first in house designer, you'll lead our design and brand from our marketing website to our apps.
On a day-to-day basis, you'll be working in Figma, Webflow and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the user experience is nothing short of positive. You'll closely collaborate with engineering, operations, marketing, product and support to design reusable components to use in marketing, email, product and advertising.
This is a remote, part-time role(20 hours/week) to begin with.
What you'll be doing
- Setting the standard for our product branding/identity in app, across the Shopify app store and on our external website
- Building and designing the company website and landing pages in Webflow
- Create brand materials for marketing and product teams
- Design illustrations that help communicate our brand and vision within our apps
- Facilitate important cross-functional team communication and advocate for our merchants in a design driven, meaningful way
- Design the future for Rivo apps and have an significant impact on 100,000's of Shopify businesses and millions of people
Who you are
You're open to learning – You might be a new junior designer and just getting started, but you're eager and open to learning. Maybe you're in a different tech sector but are fascinated by eCommerce. You're not afraid of new technology and challenges and you embrace things you don't know.
You know and love Webflow – You know Webflow and modern web design tools like the back of your hand.
You're well versed in Figma – You spend your design days looking at pixels in Figma.
You're empathetic – You care about merchant experience and have a passion for good, usable and simple design.
You've got a good eye – You're up to date on the best practices and industry standards across web design, and you're not afraid to break out of the mold.
You're a go-getter – You're ready for a challenge and you strike when the iron's hot! You seek out opportunities to step up and go above and beyond.
You love wearing lots of hats – The world is your wheelhouse! You're an all-rounder and you love doing something different every day.
You're enthusiastic and independent – You're enthusiastic about solving problems with design, helping others and you can do your work and be on top of things with little supervision.
You've got an entrepreneur mindset – You respect and admire the hustle! Our customers are entrepreneurial in nature and you've got an entrepreneurial mindset that wants to help every business succeed as if it were your own!
Nice to have's, but not required
- Experience designing in a Rails application
- Experience with Shopify or Ecommerce
