Job description
The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for the execution of ChartMogul’s content and social media initiatives supporting the business strategy, marketing goals and organizational objectives. Through a detailed understanding of the core principles of marketing, corporate communications and social media, the Content Marketing Manager will coordinate highly successful communication campaigns and programs – through all phases of development, launch, and maintenance.
The role demands a broad scope of writing experience, so the ideal candidate will have the appropriate combination of solid copywriting ability, journalistic sensibility and editorial experience. You will develop content marketing assets to be used for website, lead generation campaigns, PR/corporate communications, social media and other channels. You’ll build communications that educate and engage prospects, customers, and partners and helps position the company as a thought leader within a highly competitive market.
Responsibilities:
  • Produce smart, engaging, industry-leading editorial content, to support marketing and other strategic initiatives. E.g. thought leadership content: develop thought leadership content (i.e., white papers, case studies, blogs, videos, social media posts) by collaborating with subject-matter experts
  • Manage the blog site and editorial calendar
  • Develop and deliver daily social media content to relevant communities that support business goals, while ensuring an effective and professional image
  • Regularly update web copy and digital content on the company’s website via content management system
  • Perform keyword research and link building in coordination with current business objectives to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams through the content development cycle to ensure all projects are delivered on-time, on-strategy and support brand and business goals
  • Analyze the effectiveness of marketing communications and social media programs in real time by collecting data and producing reports. Ensure that insights are integrated into current and future strategies
Job requirements
What we're looking for
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the B2B software industry
  • Some technical foundation required — must be able to understand complex technical concepts and distill them in a clear and simple way for a wide audience
  • Exemplary writing and editing skills, in both short-form messaging and longer-form editorial work
  • Demonstrate brand management and content development experience in highly competitive, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong track record of meeting business performance goals through the development and execution of innovative marketing communications programs
  • Strong working knowledge of, and experience, with established and emerging social media platforms (including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Clubhouse, etc.)
  • Familiarity with SEO, search engine, social media and internet marketing industry trends, developments and best practices
Nice to have
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in communications, marketing, journalism/English, advertising or related discipline
  • Experience using website content management systems preferred
  • Intermediate level of graphic design and HTML skills is a plus
  • Experience with Intercom, Autopilot or other marketing automation systems
