Designlab is looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our team and help us manage, enhance, and expand our activity across all organic social media channels.We're a nimble, product-driven team focused on building the best experience in the world for creative skills training, and thousands of students across the globe have already advanced their skills and changed careers with our help. Thanks to our best-in-class product with rave reviews, we’ve built a passionate community of students, mentors and alumni.In this role, you will take ownership of all organic social media activity running across LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, working to maintain and optimize existing accounts, as well as to boost followers and overall engagement. You will also lead efforts as we expand across other channels, including launches on TikTok and Pinterest. You
  • Have a passion for all things social media, on both a professional and personal level
  • Have experience managing and growing several social media accounts in parallel across LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and more
  • Are extremely data-driven, with the ability to analyze and take action on metrics in a strategic way to meet growth KPIs
  • Possess a keen interest and ability to craft ad copy that is compelling, on brand, and relatable
  • Thrive to create and successfully build a sense of community through the art of social media

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of all of our organic social media activities and engagement
  • Engage the wider design community by responding to comments and messages, and by creating content and conversations that have the potential to go viral within the space
  • Develop, launch, and manage new competitions and campaigns that promote the organization and brand
  • Monitor and track hashtags and trends to ensure that we’re capitalizing on current activity
  • Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers across our social media channels
  • Measure, track, and optimize performance so that we consistently achieve and exceed key brand and growth KPIs
  • Constantly test new strategies to help increase social media followers and engagement
  • Work closely with colleagues across the Growth and Admissions teams to understand the prospective student journey, and apply insights to your captions, comments, and other creative assets
  • Work with our in-house designers to create any visual assets required
  • Collaborate with our Comms team to ensure our social presence reflects our brand voice and mission
  • Explore new platforms and channels to scale and expand our social presence
Requirements
  • 3+ years working in Social Media Marketing, with a focus on building followers and increasing engagement
  • Extensive experience working with LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok in an organic capacity
  • Have used a variety of social media scheduling and reporting tools, such as CoSchedule and Buffer
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce ad copy that is relatable, empathetic, and error-free
Bonus
  • Knowledge and experience of a variety of other social media channels, such as Pinterest and YouTube
  • Experience tracking social media and cross-channel performance through Google Analytics
  • General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and internet ranking for web content
  • Agency and in-house experience, as part of a fully remote team
  • Experience working on EdTech and/or employment-related products
