For this position, you will be working within our dedicated Front-End functional team while assisting and occasionally embedding in product delivery teams to help lead their Front-End efforts.
Here's How You Will Make an Impact
- Lead the architecture and hand-on implementation of resilient front-end solutions in Vue.js and Nuxt
- Be a pragmatic influence to how teams deliver front-end solutions to our 1.2 million clinicians
- Cache, optimize, and develop systems that can handle millions of operations per day using GraphQL and Apollo client
- Uphold our front-end engineering standards and mentor other engineers
- Help us fulfill our migration and consolidation of Backbone.js and React codebase(s) into Vue.js
About you
- You are a manager-of-one, capable of prioritizing and delivering valuable projects for the business
- You have impeccable follow-through and passion for delivering effective solutions
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You have a strong understanding of client communication with APIs, bonus points for GraphQL, and Apollo client
- You have strong experience with modern front-end architecture, particularly with JavaScript frameworks & libraries like Vue.js, Redux, Vuex, Express, and/or Nuxt
- You have good understanding of a dynamic, object-oriented programming language like Ruby, and a web framework like Rails
- You are a problem solver with a passion for simple, clean, and maintainable solutions
- You test your code and appreciate the benefits tests offer
- You have experience with web infrastructure, relational databases, distributed systems, and performance optimizations
- You are able to maintain a minimum of 5 hours overlap with 9:30 to 5:30 PM Pacific time
- You can dedicate about 20 days per year for travel to company events
