Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an analytical individual who loves organization and paying attention to detail to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will create and analyze financial reports, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments.Although this role is remote, we are looking for applicants residing in North Carolina, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. What you will do:The Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist will be responsible for accurately recording all day-to-day financial transactions of our company. You will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the general ledger posting process
- Enter data, maintain records, and create financial reports for Finance team management
- Execute and record accounts payable transactions and ensure supplier invoices are paid in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate accounting entries in QuickBooks
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
- Process check payouts to sellers on our platform
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required – Accounting or Finance preferred
- 1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Extremely organized and strong attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Quickbooks accounting software expertise desirable
- Experience with remote tools and platforms (Slack, Zoom, Google Drive) preferred
- Your own equipment to work remotely (laptop, headphones, high speed wifi, etc.)
