Vertex Talent Group is working with a Fortune 20 organization in its search for a full-time Technical Infrastructure Implementation Healthcare Project Manager.
Our client is looking for an individual to join a concentrated effort focused on being part of the team that’s poised to transform the fight against cancer. Backed by the strength of a Fortune 20 company, our entrepreneurial organization develops technologies used by the oncology community to deliver evidence-based, personalized care, as well as insights used by biopharma companies to accelerate drug development and support the entire treatment journey. Our work powers informed decision-making at every pivotal moment in oncology – from the treatment options presented to patients, to the operational considerations for oncology practices, to the design of clinical trials, to the commercial launch plans for new therapies.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of the development/implementation of a systems project or program involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a computer-based system from the design process through a finished state for internal/external customers. Provides a single point of contact for projects and responsible to take projects from original concept through final implementation and responsible for conducting project meetings. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services. Defines project scope and objectives. Oversees/coordinates all aspects of project and serves as project manager between clients, systems, line management and other departments. Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical and non-technical matters. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals. Manage integration of vendor tasks and tracks success. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports. You will be responsible for managing projects ranging from small to extra-large, multi-phase project focused on managed services support You will manage the planning and execution of the project, communicate with and manage the client, build the project team and develop the budget and timeline estimates Ensure the scope of the project(s) is clearly identified, documented and controlled and that the impact in any shift in scope is made clear Ensure that the project components are planned, managed, and controlled from within agreed time, cost, and quality expectations Responsible for ensuring that all phases of the project are clearly documented - particularly functional and technical specifications Create detailed project reporting & metrics ranging from regular internal status reports to customer progress reports Maintain clear and reliable tracking of effort expended for billing purposes Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in technical project management, requirements definition, building systems solutions and/ or deployment of business requirements to information systems. Project management (PMP) certification
Critical Skills:
Ability to generate and track multiple system implementation project plans according to budget, customer expectations, and deadlines. Experience with project management tools and methodologies, strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem solving-skills. Excellent written, verbal, and facilitation skills to communicate critical milestones professionally with people at all levels of the organization, including c-suite and with external customers. Demonstrated success in the managing and delegating in a team-based environment. Proven experience delivering large, complex solutions Experience with custom or product software implementations Experience translating business and functional requirements into defined milestones Ability to accurately forecast timelines and associated costs across a range of projects Experience and proficiency in structuring and executing projects of all sizes Additional Knowledge/Skills:
Strong Microsoft Office products experience including PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project; and Visio required Experience using Smartsheet, JIRA and Confluence Education:
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
Travel:
Up to 25% travel required
