Key responsibilities
- Design, build, integrate and manage automated test environments
- Design and manage monitoring and alerting systems
- Perform administration tasks (backups, config changes, upgrades, etc.) to keep all of our environments up and running
- Provide support to the internal development teams
- Help scale our platform to millions of customers
Knowledge requirements
- Proficiency in administering UNIX-based operating systems
- Solid understanding of source code management tools (Git)
- Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of and hands-on experience with Docker
- Solid understanding of and hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Experience working with a statically typed programming language (e.g. Go, C/C++, Haskell)
- Experience with at least one of the following cloud platforms: GCP, AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean
- Experience with configuration management and deployment tools: Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform
- Experience in building automated test suites
- Understanding of various monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus)
- Solid understanding of relational database systems

- Experience with Go
- Experience with PostgreSQL administration
- Solid understanding of GCP
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
