We have an immediate full-time position open for a software developer to architect and program a new generation of software for our Toccare Haptics Measurement System.
The Toccare system is a sophisticated, expensive materials-testing instrument that has no equal anywhere in the world. Our customers are primarily leading global brands in the consumer packaged goods, automotive and cosmetics industries. Find out more on our website.
This is a unique opportunity for an autonomous self-starter who wants to stand out and own from the ground up an exciting, challenging and very interesting software-development project. You will be part of a close-knit, highly intelligent team consisting of our product manager, our director of engineering and our CEO.
Qualifications and responsibilities
- Required: Minimum of 5 years architecting and programming real-time applications in C or C++, and hands-on experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Meticulously documenting and maintaining software requirements, and updating project-management database.
- Maintaining the code base using a version-control system.
- Familiar with human-friendly UX and HMI design.
- Desirable but not required: Familiar with scientific instruments.
Working at SynTouch
- Required: Reside in metropolitan Los Angeles. You may work out of our office or telecommute, but must be within driving distance of the office to install and debug software builds on the system. Don't apply if you don't live in metropolitan Los Angeles because you'll be immediately rejected.
