JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible to create and manage large and expansive electronic databases, and to store and organize vast amounts of data. ... Work closely with software designers and engineers, design analysts and others.  Creates comprehensive databases to support both the strategic corporate goals and all Product Roadmaps.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 10+ years’ experience of database development
  • 10+ years’ experience supporting application development teams/projects
  • Experience with DBA tasks supporting relational databases in an enterprise environment
  • Strong experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) job development and maintenance
  • Expert experience in SQL writing and query optimization skills
  • Experience in Postgres highly preferred
  • Experience with AWS environment preferred

INTERNAL:
  • Design high performance, extensible data models/database structures
  • Facilitate project requirements and new requests for data
  • Create normalized tables
  • Write functions and views
  • Maintain legacy schemas
  • Refactor legacy schemas
  • Model and document database objects
  • Develop and support ETL processes
  • Improve quality and integrity of data imports
  • Perform administrative tasks on the database
  • Perform maintenance tasks on the database
  • Perform monitoring tasks on the database
  • Complete performance tuning tasks on the database
  • Identify proactive solutions and corrective measures
  • Apply proactive solutions and corrective measures
  • Minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot production and development database environments
  • Provide configuration for production database environments
  • Maintain and support production and development database environments
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and other technical team members as required
  • Gather application requirements
