The Role:
YouGov Chat runs as a cloud native platform. We embrace a DevOps mentality on our development process taking ownership over development and infrastructure changes.
As an engineer at YouGov Chat you will be part of a wider technical team following the product roadmap using Agile software development methodologies. Work on interesting challenges like our scalable chat engine or data visualisation and integrations.We are looking for people who write simple and maintainable code and are aware of the perils of emerging complexity.
We’re looking for:
- 5+ years experience engineering back-end cloud native architectures.
- Cloud experience - AWS and Terraform.
- Experience developing HTTP APIs using statically typed languages (C#, Java, Typescript, Golang). Reactive programming experience is desirable.
- Experience with common Node.js frameworks and libraries (Express, Fastify, etc..)
- Experience and understanding of code testing methodologies
