Role
As the Lead Cloud Architect, you will shape WaveSense's efforts around key cloud-base and infrastructure decisions for our radar-based map and sensor fusion-based localization algorithms. Your work will involve developing and driving the architecture for large scale Mapping for autonomous vehicle localization with a focus on radar maps. You will focus on building a scalable system that will interact with fleets of vehicles.
Who you are + what you'll do
- Develop and Define cloud infrastructure and architecture for our HD maps.
- Understand Big Data problems and how to scale an infrastructure.
- Improve infrastructure performance, scalability, and availability.
- Design and develop data processing pipelines in the cloud, scalability and availability.
- You're comfortable thinking about the big picture and the small details. You enjoy making design and architectural decisions.
- Enjoy working with small, high output teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
- A 'get-it-done' person. You know that done is better than perfect and are energized by constantly delivering and moving things forward.
Requirements
- Experience building scalable cloud-based production-scale systems.
- Experience with Cloud platforms: AWS. Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
- Experience with hands-on experience building, releasing, monitoring, and supporting mission-critical services in high traffic applications.
- Solid programming skills with Python, shell script, terraform, packer, C++, etc.
- Experience with big data technologies: Hadoop MapReduce, Spark, Kafka, Flink, NoSQL, MySQL, Spanner, relational database, etc.
Nice to have
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker.
- Experience in building cloud platform for HD Maps/Autonomous Vehicles.
- Knowledge of GIS or map related technologies.
- Experience with deploying Machine Learning or Mapping Algorithms.
- Experience with relational databases, especially PostGRES.
- Experience setting up CICD and development servers, tools, pipelines (Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, etc.).
