Key Role:
Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems pertaining to CANS, WANS, LANS, and VLANS. Schedule and perform network maintenance, perform installation configuration and repairs, and support certification and accreditation activities. Support all LAN-based applications, routers, firewalls, VoIP, and Ethernet technology.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with the planning, design, development, implementation, and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks to encompass diagnosing network performance shortcomings and designing and implementing performance improvements
-Experience with network installation, including high bandwidth data transfer
-Experience with administering CANS, WANS, LANS, VLANS, classified networks, protocols and network troubleshooting, and network visualization tools, including Visio
-Experience with leading teams on small to mid-size network engineering activities -Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree in Telecommunications, CS, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems and 4+ years of experience with network engineering, MA or MS degree in Telecommunications, CS, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems and 2+ years of experience with network engineering, or 8+ years of experience with network engineering in lieu of a degree
-DoD 8570 Compliance IAT Category Level I Certification
