Principal Software Engineer - Information Retrieval

About role:
- Provide thought leadership in technology direction for the Information Retrieval sub-domain, technical services and industry standards adoption in development teams
- Serve as mentor and coach to development teams
- Play a technical product owner role to development teams
- Be in contact and aligned with the Company architects’ community
- Ensure high level of automation of work processes including quality assurance
- Assume a leadership role in ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery of platform components and solutions through the entire application life cycle
- Promote knowledge sharing across product-development teams
About you:
- 8+ years of increasing responsibility experience in technical roles, with 3 or more years in guiding a development teams
- Experience architecting and developing production search or recommendation solutions using search platforms such as Elasticsearch, Solar, Lucene or equivalent with Graph and deep semantic capabilities
- Ability to work with wide variety of programming and scripting languages with exceptional understanding of the core project languages .Net Core, Python and Java
- Experience working with Microservice architecture, development and delivery
- Experience in designing and running Cloud infrastructures (multiple vendors) and software solutions inside those infrastructures
- Existing experience with container runtimes and container management systems such as Kubernetes
As a plus:
- Experience architecting software for high volume data ingestion using technologies such as Apache Spark, Storm, Zookeeper, Kafka or equivalent
- Experience architecting scalable storages basing on SQL and NoSQL solution
