We are looking for a passionate, driven information security professional to join our Risk Management team. As a Security Analyst, you will assist the Manager of Information Security with a wide variety of information technology and information security projects, technical operations, and process documentation, and you will leverage your knowledge to analyze and mitigate risk. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who would like to be a general information security practitioner at an innovative and fast-growing cryptocurrency fintech company.
Responsibilities
- Measure risk and create and maintain policies and procedures to mitigate risk, using GRC tools and enterprise risk frameworks
- Support external audits and risk assessments and perform internal audit functions (and, as such, interact with external auditors and regulators)
- Oversee and enhance vendor management program
- Oversee and enhance vulnerability management program
- Educate employees on security risks and controls
- Assist with day-to-day IT operations and information security incident management
Required
- 3-5 years of experience in information security and IT at a financial institution (e.g., bank, payments fintech)
- 2-3 years of Linux experience (Ubuntu Linux preferred)
- General knowledge of Information Security program management and frameworks
- General knowledge of Networking Technologies
- General knowledge of Web Server Technologies
- Experience with various relevant areas of compliance (GLBA, SOC II, information security models and risk assessments, IT audits, vendor management, data breach and incident management)
- Experience measuring risk and creating and documenting policies and procedures to mitigate risk, using GRC tools
- Encryption and data protection
- Experience with data analytics and logging infrastructure (e.g., Kibana/ElasticSearch), governance models, operations, engineering, security penetration testing and threat modeling
- Detail-oriented with solid communications, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a small department of an innovative and fast-paced company
- Self-starter mentality with ability to perform well under pressure, eager to learn and develop new skills, comfortable working with technical tools
- Team player with a good sense of humor
- Located in Atlanta area but able to work remotely
Preferred
- Experience working with Mac OS X
- Experience working at a cryptocurrency fintech
- Enthusiastic about cryptocurrency and disruptive technology; knowledge of blockchain technology and information security requirements relevant to fintechs
