RESPONSIBILITIES

  • With its xarvio(TM) product portfolio the BASF Digital Farming GmbH enables farmers to improve and automate agriculture - using data: smart sensors, advanced models and artificial intelligence.
  • You will operationalize data pipelines as well as machine learning models to serve into products, features and/or services.
  • Furthermore, you will design and implement our machine learning infrastructure in the cloud.
  • In addition, you will build robust data pipelines for computer vision and spatio-temporal machine learning use cases.
  • Last but not least, you will translate machine learning models into micro services, ensure reliable service quality and provide appropriate monitoring.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • master's degree in computer science with at least two years of professional work experience in applying machine learning methods to products, features or services, including minimizing footprint, evaluating tradeoffs, pipeline work and CI/CD practices
  • expertise in Python, R and/or Java development as well as strong knowledge of AWS technologies and services including SageMaker
  • well-versed in container technologies (like Docker) and microservice architectures as well as experience in writing infrastructure as code e.g. through terraform or cloud formation
  • good knowledge in at least one area of machine learning, such as deep learning, computer vision, supervised and unsupervised learning or spatio-temporal modelling
  • fluent German and English language skills
