As our Sales/Accounts teams and Developer team grow and become more specialized, we’re creating a new Support Engineer position to take charge of tasks that fall somewhere in the middle and assist both teams.
TruckersReport is a fully remote company and this is a full time, remote role for experienced telecommuters living in the Americas working East Coast business hours.
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day assisting Sales and Accounts teams on Slack
- Respond to requests to build reports (SQL, XML)
- Prep integrations between internal tools and clients/partners (Postman, HTTP)
- Explain app features to staff and users, answers questions
- Miscellaneous technical tasks: edit images, scrape html, test API integration
- Power user of the app, knows all of its quirks and functions
App Support
- Front line troubleshooter of urgent infrastructure issues: fix or notify dev team
- Monitoring and filtering through bugs/error logs: triage, move to devs
Dev Support
- Tests their new work, returns well structured bug reports
- Helps with deployment, preps release notes
Requirements:
- Expertise in SQL and XML
- Expertise in all standard Microsoft Office products or G Suite equivalents
- Exceptional written communication skills, an unquestionable ability to clearly and concisely explain abstract concepts without picking up a phone
- A knack for finding interesting ways to break software
- An interest in understanding the broader business application for the reports you build
- Superior organizational skills and impressive attention to detail
- Available during East Coast business hours Monday-Friday
Pay and Benefits:
- $50,000 - $70,000 base pay depending on experience, opportunity to earn bonuses based on achieving team milestones
