Senior Front-End Developer

Kadeau

Job Summary
Kadeau is looking for an experienced front-end developer to join our global team. This role is part-time to start (15-20 hours per week), and as we grow we may be able to offer additional hours—but only if you want to take them on.
Responsibilities and Duties
As part of our front-end development team, your primary responsibility will be to take approved designs and code out fully custom websites. You write clean, semantic, and extensible code that is optimized for performance, search, and accessibility. You’ll also be responsible for building out a custom integration with the content management system, which is an important and significant aspect of this role. Craft is our preferred CMS, and while we develop most of our projects on Craft, we do have some clients on other platforms such as Shopify and Wordpress.
Our team works on new and redesign projects, and we also help maintain and provide support to existing clients. So the work is a mix of both larger build projects as well as smaller updates to existing sites.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who can work without too much supervision day-to-day. We’re looking for teammates who are personable and friendly, and you’ll need to have enough proficiency in English to interact efficiently with our team and from time to time our clients.
Specific qualifications and skills include:
  • 3-5 years working in a professional environment as a front-end developer
  • Advanced proficiency in coding well-formed, semantic HTML and CSS
  • Adept at coding responsive designs
  • Familiarity working with JS and JS libraries
  • Experience working with build tools like gulp and webpack and package managers such as Composer and NPM
  • Strong experience working with content management systems
  • Experience working with third party APIs
Other skills that would be nice to have include:
  • Experience working with Craft and Wordpress
  • Experience working with React and Vue
  • Familiarity with PHP and ability to code custom plugins
Compensation
This role is compensated at an hourly rate, $25-$40/hr depending on your level of experience.
