Trusted Shops develops Saas solutions for the e-commerce sector, such as the TrustBadge, the guarantee process and our new review & feedback platform “eTrusted”. With our products we serve +25 million customers and 30.000 online shops while following the mission to make e-commerce more secure and trustworthy.
Home of our product development is the TPS unit (Trust Products & Services), which consists of 13 cross-functional teams working in an Gagile environment.
We are looking for a database engineer to support the development teams to ensure the data model quality and database performance.
Your core tasks
- Management, monitoring and further development of our review databases in AWS
- Support of the product teams in setting up and further developing databases for our products
- Support and collaboration with the product teams in regards of:
- database design
- access strategies
- SQL performance optimization
- data optimization
- Automation of processes (deployments, configuration changes, database structure (AWS)) - e.g. with Ansible / Terraform / Python
- Become the expert for everything related to databases at the new platform “eTrusted”
What you should bring
- Good knowledge about database administration - especially with MySQL or PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
- Professional experience in database development (MySQL or PostgreSQL and DynamoDB) and in database tuning
- You are familiar with database upgrades and migrations
- You are familiar with the creation and execution disaster recovery plans
- You know how to communicate with cross-functional teams
- First experiences in the AWS cloud system (or similar cloud infrastructure provider) is a plus
- You are fluent in English - German is a plus
