As a member of our Data team reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in building data pipelines and proof-of-concepts to support data architecture vision across the business. You will have the opportunity of turning high level conceptual ideas into a tangible outcome.
As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with the business and technical teams in analysis of non-standard and unique business problems and use creative problem solving to deliver actionable outcome. You will bring hands-on experience working on big data technologies and have end to end ownership of developing, deploying and supporting your solutions.
You will be working on building and deploying metrics to track and measure adoption of Data Architecture standards and reference architecture across Insight Timer.
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- 1+ years of experience working with Big Data ecosystem with 2+ years of software development experience
- be comfortable with ambiguous requirements and changing priorities.
- experience with BigQuery or Redshift.
- experience working on cloud environment - GCP or equivalent.
- good understanding of data architecture principles including data modelling.
Specific skills that would be highly beneficial but not mandatory:
- experience in design and implementing data pipelines in Airflow.
- experience in Python and key data libraries (Pandas, pySpark)
- experience in working with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Plotly)
