Social Media + Content Manager

OVERVIEW
  • Part-time 10-20 hours/week contract position with flexible hours
  • Location: Remote, ideally based in North America (the company works on Eastern Time)
  • Assists our CEO in leading our social media content including (iPhone or desktop) video editing, photo editing, and graphics
  • Assists our CEO as the most knowledgeable person on our podcast and other content to amplify and repurpose in email and on social
  • Assists our CEO in audience care via our social inboxes, comments, and expanding conversations across the brand
  • Represents the company and therefore must be of high integrity and excellence
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Has performed similar roles for online businesses whether social media, blogs, podcasts, media creation, design, and/or copywriting in digital marketing
  • Strengths include:
    • Strong aesthetic eye: Can edit videos and photos (either desktop or phone) and create graphics in line with and elevating to the brand
    • Gets humans: Passionate about helping people grow and able to synthesize the core bullets in a teaching that will serve them most
    • Gets marketing: Understands opening hooks, CTAs, storytelling, retaining attention
    • Problem solving: Thinks creatively and sees around corners for the next dominos a decision will lead to
    • Organization: Able to create and implement an editorial calendar and processes for consistent service across the brand
    • Data driven: Able to track and analyze efforts and engagement to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
    • Fascinated by these platforms: Enjoys learning, paying attention to new trends, searching for new ideas
    • Compassionate: Deeply caring and able to express so in the written word with our community
 
A MONTH IN THE LIFE
  • Review and brainstorm content ideas with our CEO, create them, bring them back for review and discussion, once approved schedule and post (i.e. photos, videos, graphics) – we love content that is inspirational, educational, fun, meaningful
  • Review and catalogue past content including the podcast, social media, blog posts, speeches and interviews to amplify and repurpose it as social media and email content, get approval in meetings with the CEO and Marketing Director, then complete the tasks
  • Manage communication with the audience including shares, content suggestions, comments, and partner with the Customer Service Team in flagging client needs
  • Understand the details of our current launches and promotions to both market them and effectively serve potential customers as questions arise
  • Identify, track and interpret metrics into reports on growth and proposed next steps
  • Daily manage our social media interactions to capture or support the audience
  • Stay up to date and curious about new software and trends applicable to our content
  • Our first focus is Instagram and email, with an expansion to TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms to come
