As the Project Manager, Active Network Infrastructure, you will:
  • Lead end-to-end projects deploying ISP fiber network infrastructure in Active Cabinets, Central Offices, and Data Centers
  • Work closely with multi-functional stakeholders to scale up inside plant network deployment velocity and consistency  
  • Support process enablement quick wins as required
Reporting to:
  • Sr. Manager, SFU Build Program
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing network equipment construction projects in multiple cities: You’ll be in charge of ensuring those projects are on time and on budget. This will involve working closely with other members from a cross section of internal teams: network architecture, design, implementation and operations. You will interface with local contractors, utility companies and state/county/municipal permitting authorities  
  • Making sure everything is moving according to plan and helping us solve issues when it isn’t. You will be in the eye of the storm
  • Comfort working in a “mature start-up” environment - you will be jumping into a fast growing upstart business. If you’re used to and only thrive in a structured, rigorous environment, this gig isn’t for you
  • Develop and implement project risk management strategies, especially when new markets launches are dependent on the projects you are leading
  • Encourage operational systems thinking between local project team and vendors
  • Champion clear division of responsibilities with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Support process and systems enablement workshops as required
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of project management experience building telecom core and edge networks and/or data centers 
  • Familiarity with aggregation(XGS PON) and core network technology (MPLS) 
  • Strong versatile communication skills, be it with senior leadership or local operations team member
  • Ability to use standards, guidelines and norms to converse at both a technical and business level
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Internet Service Provider (FTTH ideally) Inside and Outside Plant construction best practices
  • Proven ability to build documentation and processes, and critical metrics
  • Experience managing HVAC and commercial power vendors is a nice to have
  • One or more PMI certification is a plus
Other:
  • Be a positive change agent for the operation
  • US travel up to 20%
