Job Description
This position will lead the planning, collaboration, and creation of optimized user experiences and design for our data intensive web application. This person should possess strong skills in data-driven product UI Design, and should have real-world experience with the latest UI trends and best practices. This position will collaborate with the company’s Product, Marketing, and Software Development teams to determine user interface requirements for each project and deliver functional and appealing high-fidelity feature designs. This position will work closely with developers and other key stakeholders throughout the design process to ensure that feature requirements are met.

What You’ll Do
- Create prototypes and wireframes with visual interface elements using standard industry best practices/tools
- Collaborate and communicate with business and development stakeholders in a collaborative startup environment
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure the live experience meets the criteria and functionality as presented in the visual concepts.
- Create deliverables that communicate our proposed designs effectively.
Requirements
- Prefer 3-5 years+ experience of UI design for data intensive web applications
- Experience creating rapid prototypes and wireframes with visual or interface elements using standard industry best practices/tools
- Proficiency in creating UI designs for a responsive experience (mobile, tablet, and desktop concepts)
- Passionate about collaborating and communicating with business and development stakeholders in a collaborative startup environment
- Experience and proven track record with creating complex UI workflows
- Working knowledge about emerging user interface / interaction design standards and best practices
- Understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript technological capabilities and limitations
- Knowledge and implementation of design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Firma, InVision, Balsamiq, Axure, Figma, Photoshop, and Adobe XD.
- Knowledgeable about website optimization across different browsers and devices
- Prefer experience in UX design and processes
- Ability to lead and/or participate in projects from the design phase through final testing and QA.
- Accountability in ensuring brand and design standards are met on every project
- Collaborate with product development to identify user needs, goals, behaviors, and pain points.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, as well as visually through concepts and prototypes)
- Takes initiative and self-motivated
- Confident, teachable, self-starting, innovative individual
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without a current or future need for a visa
