Digital Ads Manager (Fully-Remote)

The Ads Manager (AM) is responsible for planning and executing FRN's paid traffic acquisition campaigns across multiple online channels, including, but not limited to: Facebook, Google, YouTube, Bing, Pinterest, Twitter, Taboola, and Outbrain. The AM's primary objective is to facilitate FRN's growth through the creation and profitable placement of advertising campaigns.

Requirements

Core Responsibilities

Research & Planning
  • Perform industry research to identify trends and industry needs and interests
  • Utilize existing data and insights to inform potential campaign strategies
  • Work with Head of Growth to plan and implement new advertising campaigns
  • Cross-functionally collaborate to develop campaigns suited to different goals
  • Identify market demographic cross-sections and innovative strategies to deploy
Creative Development
  • Perform comparative analysis to find ads creative currently in use and proven effective
  • Lead brainstorming sessions with team members to cultivate ideas for new concepts
  • Develop initial hypotheses for ads creative and relevant demographic targeting
  • Prepare initial creative concepts, working with copywriters and designers to finalize
  • Employ robust testing for tracking creative effectiveness, and iterate accordingly
  • Ensure all ads creative aligns with company mission, values, and branding guidelines
Media Buying
  • Identify target audiences and plan media buying campaigns
  • Compare and negotiate rates and ad space
  • Optimize plans and budgets according to the best media mix
  • Prepare schedules and adjust when needed
  • Experiment with new platforms and channels
  • Ensure ads creatives are displayed appropriately and effectively
  • Monitor costs, return on ad spend (ROAS), and return on investment (ROI)
Reporting
  • Analyze campaign results to determine effectiveness and what to improve
  • Report on, with action plans, meaningful and relevant OKRs and KPIs
  • Deliver daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports on campaign performance
  • Provide ego-less assessments of campaign performance and recommend iterations - including places to dial back as well as places to lean in
Team Management
  • For all position responsibilities, work in tandem with the Head of Growth to determine when to utilize agencies or contractors for fulfillment of requirements
  • Handle all contract negotiations with relevant agencies, platforms, and contractors, and manage their performance
  • Recruit, interview, and hire advertising staff as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to create a high performing advertising team

  • High level of curiosity and drive to understand metrics and their implications
  • Ability to understand complex business challenges
  • Quantitative market research (market share, size, trend analysis)

  • Map sales and profitability of various channels and properties

Other Requirements

  • Reliable high-speed Internet connection

  • Comfortable working within ClickUp for project and task management
  • Expert-level proficiency with G Suite products, specifically Docs and Sheets
  • Understanding and willingness to learn about and incorporate strong principles of SEO
  • Report on the progress of current assignments via project management tools, as well as through direct communication. with the direct report

Experience

  • 4+ years professional ads management (strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of and passion for whole-food, plant-based eating (strongly preferred)
  • A whole-food, plant-based lifestyle is highly recommended

Work Location

FRN is a fully remote team, with team members in multiple North American time zones. This position may be performed from anywhere, but we strongly prefer North America-compatible time zones, with a required availability from 9am - 3pm Pacific Time Monday through Thursday.

Compensation

$65,000 - $85,000 annual salary (paid semi-monthly), depending on experience, with potential performance bonuses.
