As our Knowledge Management Counsel, you will build our Knowledge Management function from the ground up. You will lead the Legal & Regulatory team’s efforts to collect, organize and deploy legal know-how to support Redesign Health and its operating companies as they scale. This role is part of a growing function at Redesign, providing significant opportunities for creativity, cross functional collaboration and career development.
You will report to our General Counsel and work with our legal team at our New York City headquarters (or remotely).
What you'll do:
  • Research, draft, maintain and update model forms, negotiation playbooks, checklists, precedents, matter profiles, market data point surveys and other substantive content as needed and keep them up to date.
  • Design best practices to increase the efficiency of critical legal workstreams, including automating documents and other written legal materials using legal tech applications, updating workflows and designing processes to improve the utilization of knowledge management content and tools.
  • Identify and close gaps in know-how, including soliciting and implementing feedback from business partners across all functions (accounting, finance, marketing, product, engineering, recruiting, people experience, etc.) and curating easily accessible content addressing specific and platform-wide legal needs.
  • Research, monitor, and draft internal and external communications about legal and industry developments and trends in practice.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, workshop sessions and other programs on relevant legal topics.  
  • Provide 1-on-1 support as a mentor and key source of institutional knowledge for new attorneys.
  • Proactively seek ways to improve the Legal & Regulatory team’s service to its business partners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in similar roles across all functions to contribute to Redesign-wide best practices and innovation efforts.
What you'll need:
  • Background
    • 5+ years of relevant law experience in a major law firm or technology company.
    • License to practice law in New York or California, or other states with major cities, with a willingness to become licensed in NY or CA.
    • Prior experience as a knowledge management attorney.
