About this role:

The Marketing Operations Lead owns the operations and technology aspects of the marketing and sales functions. The ideal candidate will be fascinated by process improvement and planning logistics, excited about the power of data in driving business decisions and motivated by optimization and helping others succeed. Working closely with the growth team (marketing and sales), customer success and other stakeholders, the Marketing Operations Lead will provide optimization expertise across the sales/marketing tech stack and processes and develop ways to monitor and analyze demand generation, customer expansion and overall performance. The Marketing Operations Lead helps optimize the lead-to-revenue process, lead scoring/qualification models, attribution models and data collection in partnership with the sales team. The person in this role will define KPIs and outcome-based success metrics to measure progress toward revenue goals and make business decisions.
This position reports directly to the Head of Growth.
Day-to-Day, you will:
  • Own the growth (marketing and sales) tech stack along with related subscriptions and integrations.
  • Select and implement winning tech solutions needed to drive revenue, working with stakeholders to educate, implement and drive adoption. Help teams understand how to use tools at each stage of the customer journey.
  • Implement operating rules of engagement to ensure cross-functional coordination, revenue recognition and alignment of KPIs between sales and marketing and other parts of the organization; create processes to encourage collaboration.
  • Evaluate business analytics, data and ROI across departments to make decisions or recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the growth team and other stakeholders to ensure technology, processes and data capture mechanisms are in place to support goals.
  • Define and manage data integrity practices, including cleansing, de-duplication and data normalizations.
  • Analyze, interpret and share data that measures performance of programs and campaigns against established benchmarks and recommends strategies to increase engagement and improve ROI.
  • Scope out and manage strategic projects with key subject matter experts to deliver highly requested operational changes and improvements.
  • Produce scheduled and ad hoc reporting for senior management and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • 2-3 years relevant experience with at least 1 year in a B2B SaaS environment and expertise with demand generation (inbound) strategies.
  • A self-starter with a proven ability to manage competing deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of communication.
  • Passion for technology and data and a proven ability to use both to improve results; well-versed in the strategies, tactics and technology used to guide prospects and customers through the funnel.
  • A fearless ability to adapt to change and work well in varied scenarios with cross-functional teams, managing multiple deadlines and priorities as business needs evolve.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Insightful and entrepreneurial thinker, able to operate strategically while remaining detail-oriented and execution-focused.
  • Proven expertise with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and marketing and sales technology as well as a working knowledge of business intelligence, data analytics, intent data, forecasting and modeling.
  • Have a passion for pioneering innovative, highly effective tools and processes.
  • Have an innate desire to help others succeed and gain a tremendous sense of accomplishment when they do as a result of your work.
  • Able to use data insights to drive decision-making and can give examples of how you have done this in the past.
