IT Systems & Network Support Engineer

We are currently expanding our Network Engineering teams and are looking to hire different level IT Systems & Network Support Engineers who would be either able to work from our Bracknell, UK Head Office or remotely - both options available.
You will be part of a fast growing talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest level of availability, performance and security. Qualified systems engineers will have a background on IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.
The ideal candidate will have an all-round technical portfolio of experience in the Installation, Configuration, Repair and Support of a wide range of hardware, operating systems, and applications in a LAN/WAN environment.

Requirements
  • Experience working in CLI with different types of network devices (switches, routers, firewalls etc)
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
  • Good knowledge of Windows environment client/server
  • Good knowledge of Linux distributions environment
  • Windows PowerShell- Windows Hyper-V- LAN and WAN experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, Teams- Cisco CCNA or equivalent and/or MCSA certificates are a plus
Main tasks:
  • remote support for various IT works (including but not limited to): add/remove/troubleshoot peripheral devices (like printers/scanners etc);
  • install/reconfigure drivers for PC systems;
  • add/remove network drives to PCs;
  • change IP network settings for a single PC or multiple PCs or Servers;
  • view/troubleshoot/reconfigure Layer 3 network(s) if required;
  • install/maintain/troubleshoot Hyper-V machines;
  • troubleshoot firewall logs finding faults for networks flows;
  • finding and fixing network faults* Network maintenance
  • technical support for people using the network* Training staff on new systems
  • day to day admin and monitoring of network use* Document any new installation or any modification for an existing network
  • reporting issues and task evolution* Supervising helpdesk staff
