Hours: 40 hours per week for full-time. You are free to choose your own hours as long as there is some overlap during the daytime of our CET team for meetings and other internal cultural events

Level: Mid (3+ years), Senior (5+ years)
Salary
  • Starting at €43,750 - €53,500 for full-time (Mid)
  • Starting at €53,500 - €64,750 for full-time (Senior)

We continue to improve and extend the first and most important business user touchpoint, the Studio. To do so we’ll grow the team with more passionate engineers. Do you like to implement an amazing user experience that allows users to create incredible eCommerce sites on top of headless APIs? Do you like visually appealing but also functional frontends that make complex tasks look simple? Would you like to improve a web application based on user research and usage data together with a product team? Then this position could be perfect for you!
🚀 Your Mission
  • Extend our existing web application based on React, Redux, and MaterialUI with new user workflows based on input from our Product team
  • Discover solutions for user challenges together with our Product team
  • Continuously enhance the technical foundation of the web application, for example, continue to migrate MaterialUI components to our own pattern library
  • Closely collaborate with your colleagues to learn and improve together

💪 What you will accomplish in your first 90-days
  • Meet your colleagues from other departments and get accustomed to our values and ways of working
  • Get familiar with our stack and tools
  • Complete your onboarding plan and attend commercetools onboarding sessions
🧩 You will likely have this experience
  • Thorough knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript, React, HTML, and (S)CSS
  • Experience with MaterialUI and/or Redux is a plus
  • The will to help to maintain the foundation of any JavaScript/TypeScript project: library updates, JavaScript build tools (webpack and babel), and so on
  • Experience in testing React components, domain logic with unit tests, and the most critical user paths with end-to-end tests
  • Experience in creating and maintaining style systems for larger and non-trivial web applications
