Apex Expert Solutions is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed professional to fill the role of Senior Web UX/UI Designer and Developer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in a fast-paced agile development environment designing and developing responsive frontend websites that can display and manage large disparate datasets
- Full scope web application development ranging from user experience research and design to front-end design and development
- Provide technology recommendations for potential product application development
- Gather and analyze requirements from product owners ensuring products meet business requirements
- Collaborate with other software engineers and team leads in designing and developing software solutions that meet high quality standards
- Quickly prototype and develop webpages and components specializing in visualizing large geospatial datasets using Cesium and Vue.js.
- Assist with the design and implementation of REST API applications that provide web application connectivity to backend NoSQL datastores
Required Skills:
- Experience developing large applications with HTML5 and JavaScript (additionally, Java & C# is a plus)
- Strong understanding of good software architecture patterns
- Commitment to thinking through user scenarios from multiple angles to create a UI to fits the customer
- Demonstrated effective and successful verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Full life cycle software application development experience
- Experience with distributed computing platforms including Hadoop and Cloudera
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
- Experience developing REST web services
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of related Software Development experience
- Must be a U.S. person
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance
