Join us as a Principle Engineer* If you have experience driving solution architecture, design and development in a large transactional organisation, we need your expertise* You'll be helping create a new Technology Fraud Platform for Personal Banking (PB), which will bring together a single view across numerous applications in the bank* This platform will support our Fraud & Chargebacks Operations unit, ensuring they have confidence in the systems that support their operations so they can consistently drive down fraud losses and protect our customers* You'll also collaborate with Principle Engineers from other platforms to contribute to the bank’s Architecture, Design and Engineering Centre of Excellence
What you'll doWere creating a new Technology Fraud Platform for Personal Banking, which will bring together a single view across numerous applications in the bank. As our Principal Engineer, you'll work closely with the Platform Architect to deliver specialist design and engineering activities at each stage of the platforms design, from its initial conception through to its solution and physical design.
Day to day, you'll be:* Working closely with stakeholders and vendors to design strategic and robust solutions that are consistent with Technology architecture* Creating high level solution designs and gaining the necessary approval from Technical Design Authorities* Working on the delivery of intentional architecture and forming its emerging design* Collaborating with our feature teams to produce software rapidly, without compromising on quality* Designing, producing, testing and implementing working code* Creating high level solution designs and gaining the necessary approval from Technical Design Authorities
The skills you'll needWere looking for someone with a strong technology background and excellent technical knowledge to join us in this role. You'll need great interpersonal and communication skills, along with an ability to quickly build and maintain strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Great influencing and presentation skills will be key, as will your ability to explain complex ideas to a range of audiences.
You'll also bring:* Experience driving solution architecture, design and development in a large transactional organisation* Significant experience using design frameworks and taxonomies and an understanding of object orientated specifications* A broad understanding of solution architectures, preferably JEE* Knowledge of emerging trends that can be developed into creative solutions and approaches* Experience applying Agile or DevOps methods to your work
