User Happiness Specialist (East Coast, US/Canada)

Hunter

Hunter is a company founded 4 years ago in France by Antoine and François. Our goal is to make it easier for businesses to connect with each other. We make it happen by continually analyzing public data on the web and make it easy and practical to search.
We built Hunter to match our needs and aspirations (hopefully, you'll share them too!). This means we're bootstrapped and don't intend to raise any funds. And because we're building a real long-term business, we've made sure to be profitable from the start. We have the liberty to exclusively focus on providing the most value possible to our users.
Maintaining a small group is essential to us as it creates tighter bounds, increases productivity and eases communication. We're currently a team of 5 and love it this way. We're all in a different country (🇫🇷,🇩🇪,🇧🇦,🇳🇱,🇹🇭) meaning working remotely is in our DNA.
Right now, Giovanni is the only member of our team focused on customer success (everyone else is spending their days making the product better 🔨). As our product gets adopted by more people, we're also getting more user requests, especially in the US. That's where you come in!
Who we're looking for
Your mission will be to ensure our users get as much value as possible from the service. This includes both answering inbound requests and actively reaching out to targeted users we can help. As you'll be on the East Coast of Canada or the US, you'll be able to help Hunter users on new time-zones.
Because you're in another time-zone, the overlap with the rest of the team won't be perfect. You'll need to be fine with this independence—hopefully, this is even something you're looking for!
We care a lot about productivity, which means all communications you will have with users will be over chat or email. No phone calls! For optimal success, you should be a friendly, patient and empathic person. Creating a bond of trust with our users is crucial to the success of the company. You'll play a significant role in this effort.
Three times a year, the Hunter team meets in a new city in Europe for a week of work together. Those weeks are invaluable to improve collaboration and get to know better the people you're working with. You'll need to have enough flexibility in your life to be able to join us in Europe for those company retreats.
Benefits
This job isn't for everyone. But if you're looking to work remotely, in a small business having an impact on hundreds of thousands of professionals, and with plenty of time aside from your work, then it should be perfect! Also, did I mention we offer competitive salaries and five weeks paid vacation per year?
