Mobile Engineer (React Native)

We're looking for a React Native mobile engineer to contribute to the development and future iteration of a native mobile experience for our upcoming social application.This person will be joining the team as one of the first engineering hires and will be integral in growing the culture of our engineering team.This person needs to know how to collaborate and communicate with non-technical team members and take ideas and input and turn them into reality. The right person will enter our fast-paced environment and quickly build strong relationships with the team and make contributions to our growing platform.This is a full-time role based out of our New York headquarters. We are able to support remote employees in the US and Canada.You'll be the primary technical owner of our mobile app code, architecture, and App Store deployment processYou'll work with our product managers and design team to translate technical requirements into code, consult on prioritization of platform features, and build and refine new features.You'll be a master of focus, skillfully deploying new features and releases as we look to rapidly grow our proprietary platformMinimum QualificationsExperience developing mobile applications in a previous role with examplesA minimum of 2 years of experience in software design, software development & architectureKnowledge of professional software engineering practicesExperience in agile teams with working knowledge on how work gets from ideation to productionStrong focus on clean code and robust design with a focus on reusability and iterationPrevious React/React Native experience or equivalent with another JS frameworkExcellent written and verbal communications skillsPreferred QualificationsStrong comfort with React Native with working knowledge of mobile languagesStrong comfort with ES6 or TS, React, NPM/Yarn, and building rich client appsKnowledge of the intricacies of mobile development cross-platformDemonstrated knowledge of building maintainable, testable, well architected codeComfort with early stage feature requirements and owning the development in collaboration with the product teamExperience with delivering to the Apple App Store and Google Play StoreFamiliarity with GraphQL
