RESPONSIBILITIES
With its xarvio (TM) product portfolio the BASF Digital Farming GmbH enables farmers to improve and automate agriculture by using data such as smart sensors, advanced models and artificial intelligence.
- As a product owner of our Smart Spraying system you will be responsible to conceptualize, develop and validate the software backend of our Smart Spraying system.
- You will identify customer needs, value potentials and translate these into a digital product development pipeline for our Smart Spraying technology using design thinking principles.
- To enable the strategy, you will work together with the product manager to ensure the alignment of the product specifications and Smart Spraying technologies development pipeline.
- You will develop prototypes and implement the web based as well as embedded software and will lead a scrum team from prototyping until the commercial status of the product.
- Last but not least, you will allign with project partners on technical specifications as well as data interfaces and will be responsible for the increase of the customer value of the entire product.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Agricultural Sciences or (Software) Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience as a project leader or product owner in a digital context
- Ideally domain knowledge in agriculture and good understanding of digital ecosystems as well as digital products
- Agile mindset and full knowledge of agile product development (e.g. SCRUM or Kanban)
- Fluent English language skills
- Willingness to travel internationally
