Senior Full Stack Web Developer for Big Data/Machine Learning application
SiteZeus is a fast-growing startup disrupting the way growing companies select new locations with Predictive Analytics based on big data and machine learning. We are seeking the best & brightest engineers to join our Product Development team to enhance our award-winning product suite.
Position Responsibilities
  •   Lead technical discussions and provide mentorship to more junior developers
  •   Collaborate with Product Owner to identify optimal ways to implement new features & product
    enhancements and resolve current system issues
  •   Collaborate with QA Manager to identify healthy process and working relationship
  •   Translate user stories and UI mock-ups into quality product features consistent with the Product
    Owner’s vision
  •   Contribute to Refinement sessions with Product Owner by:
o Discussing and adding technical details to user stories o Estimating level of effort for user stories o Collaborating with QA to identify clear acceptance criteria o Giving advance thought to Refinement topics
 Contribute to Sprint Planning Sessions with Product Owner by: o Gaining understanding of sprint goals o Identifying the user stories required to meet sprint goals o Negotiating on amount of work the team can successfully complete within the sprint o Create tasks to support successful completion of user stories
 Attend Daily Scrum to: o Clearly communicate work in progress with team members o Collaborate and troubleshoot when needed o Report impediments blocking your progress
 Attend Retrospectives to: o Continuously examine and refine team processes o Provide and receive necessary feedback from team members o Identify plans to overcome ongoing impediments to team success
 Attend Story Mapping and Story Writing Sessions with Product Owner to: o Provide technical expertise and insight o Collaborate with team to identify best technical path to success (while considering client
needs) o Better understand new features and what they intend to solve for our clients
  •   Implement unit tests with each new feature
  •   Perform code reviews on other developers’ features
  •   Respond to code review feedback from peers
  •   Provide necessary customer support by providing requested information and resolving bugs
    within the platform
    Skills & Requirements
  •   Must have a strong desire to provide the best possible user experience to delight customers
  •   Must have performed a significant role in developing successful web applications
  •   Must be passionate about continually learning new technologies
  •   Must be familiar with building modern web applications & architectural design
  •   Must be able to take ownership of and complete entire features using our current tech stack
  •   Must be able to work collaboratively as part of an Agile Scrum Product Team
  •   Must contribute to discussions on technical design
  •   Must have a desire to participate in continually improving product development efforts
  •   Should believe in building comprehensive unit tests for your work
  •   Experience with geospatial data and/or machine learning is a big plus
    Technology Stack
  •   SPA currently built with Google Maps, Geospatial data, ASP.NET MVC with C#, HTML5, CSS3, Typescript, Knockout, D3, OData, SQL Server, and R Server
  •   We use Microsoft DevOps to for version control and work items
  •   Our application is hosted on Microsoft Azure
