You will be the Java specialist in a project to create and extend several parts of a high-performance actuarial/mathematical library, a key component to multiple applications of our large multinational client. This will include work on services and APIs allowing the connection to all applications making use of the library. We value more your willingness to learn and contribute to the success of the project than your exact experience. You can count on us to support you acquiring precious knowledge in areas that are key to almost any financial industry going forward.
Your mission
- Support the creation and extension of several modules of the actuarial library, including services and APIs.
- Build a robust and well-implemented system with great test coverage.
- Deep collaboration with the other team members (C Developer, DevOps and QA) to establish a high-performance, yet easy to maintain library and services.
Your story
- Passionate about producing high-quality and sustainable code with great test coverage.
- You are a very experienced Java developer ideally combined with skills in topics such as DevOps, Azure Cloud and Azure Services such as Blob Storage API.
- You have experience in Spring Boot and in the design and implementation of REST APIs.
- Experience in Spring Webflux and willingness to work with binary protocols (e.g. Protobuf) would be a plus.
- You know how to work with DB persistence (SQL) and understand DB modelling (ERM).
- You are willing to create enterprise quality software with great test coverage and performance focus and you are familiar with Git and continuous integration/continuous delivery.
- You are always curious and willing to learn more, have a customer oriented attitude and are familiar with Agile methodologies.
- You speak English well and feel comfortable in working in an international environment.
