fibrisTerre is a young, Berlin-based tech company that designs and manufactures fiber-optic sensing instrumentation for infrastructure monitoring projects around the world.
We are offering a permanent position with exciting and diverse challenges to an experienced C/C++ developer with a broad range of skills and strong passion for problem-solving.
Your main responsibility will be the development of desktop applications mostly using the Qt framework. You will help design and implement the user interface as well as the data processing back-end, making sure that our customers experience the exceptional performance, stability and usability that fibrisTerre’s products are known for.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop complex software solutions (Windows and Linux) for industrial applications
- Design and implement TCP/IP-based communication protocols and data interfaces
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs and find efficient solutions for them
What we expect:
- Professional experience with C/C++
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
- Professional experience implementing multi-threaded desktop applications
- Good understanding of memory management in non-garbage-collected environments
- Interest in developing automated test frameworks
Bonus skills:
- Familiarity with the Qt framework and its development tools
- Good understanding of TCP/IP and experience with network analysis tools such as Wireshark
- Experience with modern C++
- Familiarity with Git
- Linux and/or MS Windows scripting skills
- Familiarity with embedded systems and low-level hardware interactions
- Experience with databases
- Experience with Matlab, Python
