Drupal Site Manager and Customer Support

Clean Catalog

Location

Fully remote. U.S.-based workers only.

Summary

You’ll be the primary point person for helping our clients build out, manage, and troubleshoot their sites on our Drupal-based software.

Salary

$38,000 annually. This is a part-time, 20-hour a week position. For the right candidate we’re willing to make this a full-time position with benefits and corresponding salary — we can discuss in the interview process.

Schedule

Schedule can be flexible, but we’ll expect you to work with us to set a schedule during U.S. working hours, and communicate when you’ll be varying from that schedule.

Vacation/sick leave

Vacation/sick leave are unlimited as approved by manager, with a general recommendation of 3-4 weeks. We're closed Christmas week and the basic federal holidays.

Technology

We’ll provide you with a MacBook Air, unless you want to use your own technology.

Opportunities for Growth

We’re a small company, and there will be opportunities for you to take on additional projects in areas that interest you. There are always opportunites for technical-ish blogging, marketing, sales, and more.

Job Duties

We help colleges and universities take large documents like catalogs and student handbooks and convert them into a digital format through our Drupal-based software.
A large part of this job is assisting in the initial site buildout: you’ll be doing things like building out taxonomies, adding new fields, and helping with content entry.
You’ll also be the primary point person for responding to client requests, and either addressing them or routing them to the correct person in the company. (Note that we have technical staff, so you’ll never be thrown in over your head on any technical/coding tasks.)
A few other specific things we’ll want this person to do:
  • Project management for site buildouts and launch. This is what we’d call light project management, but there’s a set list of things that need to be done for each site, and you’ll be responsible for ensuring they’re done.
  • Build and provide support for content approval workflows.
  • Write and help build dynamic help documentation.
  • Work with technical team to improve software and develop new features.
  • Review content entry for accuracy. For example, you might need to build a view that checks to ensure that all courses have credits listed, and then adjust accordingly.
  • Help with content entry. This won’t be your primary job duty, but there are occasions when you’ll need to help with it.

Required Qualifications

Gotta have all of these!
  • Several years experience managing/building Drupal 8/9 sites. You should be extremely comfortable with Drupal basics like content types, taxonomies, views, and paragraphs.
  • Excellent written communication abilities in English; you’ll be communicating directly with clients primarily over email.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications

A few of these would be great!
  • Experience working in higher ed. If you’ve managed a Drupal site for a college/university that’s a huge plus.
  • Some light coding ability — think altering Twig templates and preprocessing nodes. This is not a full web-development position, and we’re not looking for someone who wants to code all day.
  • Experience with Pantheon hosting.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
